Hon. prince Ned Nwoko; Initiated Project Tourism in the month of April 2019 as one major leap recorded in the tourism industry in the year.
PROJECT TOURISM DEVELOPMENT is an initiative of Delta north Senator-elect, and jointly promoted by Nigeria Tourism Development Cooperation, NTDC and powered by Linas International Limited, a company owned by Prince Nwoko.
The initiative is expected to immersed good tidings for the sector in Nigeria with the unveiling of the ‘Tourism Project’ at the hip Bon Elvis Hotels, Abuja with its lovely decor and ambiance, in what can be described as a classy lunch media-parley .
RegentAfrica Times understands that the business mogul lawmaker injected the whooping sum of N100m to launched the project.
At the unveiling ceremony, the initiator and Chairman, Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko declared thus:
“Project Tourism Development is an initiative that has the potential of helping the country meets the increasing demands of her citizens. Through it, we can showcase our dance, food, culture and every element of the cultural Iife of our country.
“In Nigeria, there is no organised sector with Government supports to promote tourism. Tourism must be nurtured, tourism must be put together, tourism must be taken care of,” he emphasized.
Further, he added,
“In most civilised countries, Tourism contribute close to 70% of annual national earnings.
Today, we have come together to see how private sectors can help grow tourism in the country”.
He went further to outline the programme of the organization to include; GRASSROOT SPORTS DEVELOPMENT, ACCOMMODATION OF TOURISTS, CULTURAL VILLAGE, THE GLOBAL ROAD SHOW.
The well attended media launch of the PROJECT was held at BON Hotel, Elvis Abuja with many dignitaries and officials from National Tourism Development Cooperation, NTDC, Federation of Tourism Association of Nigeria (FTAN) and Nollywood actors and actresses among others.

The Nigerian billionaire has been involved in politics for a very long time. Ned was a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives between 1999 and 2003.
He represented Aniocha North-South and Oshimili North-South in Delta State, Nigeria. Prince Ned Munir Nwoko who is popularly known as Ned Nwoko was born on 21th of December 1960 into the Royal Palace of Idumuje-Ugboko in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria.
As parts of Nwoko numerous humanitarian gestures in ameliorating poverty among the poor, and bridging employment gaps, the multi-billionaire singlehandedly bankrolled the blockbuster iconic movie THE ENEMY I KNOW to the tune of N180million.
Recently, at the convocation of the University of Petroleum Resources in Efunrun in Warri, Delta state, Ned Nwoko awarded 20 first-class students N20 million to startup businesses as parts of his youths empowerment initiatives, and equally at another instance gave out 5million naira to 50 Instagram followers as a startup.
Nwoko is lover of sports and education and has invested in no small measure in fulfillment of his kind gestures.
