Late Gen Lagbaja’s Body Arrives Abuja, for Burial Friday (Photos)

The body of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, has arrived in Abuja, where he will be buried on Friday.
The Nigerian Air Force plane carrying the body of the late COAS landed at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at approximately 12:15 PM. The remains of the late COAS departed from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos around 11 AM.
Military officials were present to receive the remains of the late COAS in Abuja, accompanied by the sounds of a military band. Upon arrival, a guard of honour was given, and the body was escorted down a red carpet in full view of Nigeria’s military leadership.
The body of the late COAS will be interred on Friday at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja. He passed away last Tuesday, according to the presidency.
