REINCARNATION OF BIBLICAL DAVID AND GOLIATH IN YERIMA AND WIKE.
The word reincarnation is conceived as a way to comprehend and explain the inscrutable ways of divine justice. In the opinion of Abdul-Baha, “ A belief in reincarnation goes far back into the ancient history of almost all people and was held even by the philosophers of Greece, the Roman sages, the ancient Egyptians and the great Assyrians.
Though reincarnation can be referred to as a rebirth of the aspect of an individual that persists after bodily death and transmigrates into another entity, either consciousness or soul, in successive existence.
In this reincarnation, David the shepherd had humbled the notorious King Goliath, who ruled with an iron fist over the people of Philistia and the people of Israel. King Goliath was fond of intimidation with a retinue of armies and bodyguards.
Nobody dares to challenge his authority, until such a time, it took only one little boy known as David the shepherd to engage in the shouting bout with Goliath that eventually ended his reign and thereby defeating Goliath with just a sling and pouch despite the rejection of the huge armoury offered to him by Saul, the king of Israel to support his efforts.
The episode between naval officers, Lt. A.Yerima and the minister of FCT,
Nyesom Wike, on a land-related tussle, captured and replicated the true biblical story of David and Goliath. Lt. A. Yerima, a young naval officer, here assumed the place of young David, as he used wisdom to humble the minister Nyesom Wike who in this case, is best described as king Goliath who came with a battalion of security guards armed to the teeth, using his usual cracked voice of intimidation to shut down the brevity of the young naval officer.
Minister Nyesom Wike on the top of his voice was heard shouting at the Lt. A. Yerima, saying “you are a big FOOL!, You are a big FOOL!!” the minister’s phrase equally received an antidote response from Lt A Yerima, who also echoed in response “I am not a FOOL!, I am not a FOOL!!” that i have integrity.
The minister did not stop at the first batch of insults rained on the young naval officer, he then continued with an unnecessary barrage of insults, like, As at the time I graduated, you were in the primary school and also, Will you shut up! Get out! Gara out! But the young naval officer maintained his cool and in the end it was Minister Nyesom Wike who got out from the disputed site when Lt. A. Yerima denied him access to the land by his use of subtle tools of discipline, intelligent conduct and candour in his counter-reaction to every single word of insults from Minister Nyesom Wike.
This simple application of candour in resolving issues without resorting to the use of armour and tanks or the authority of office that one possesses has earned national and global recognition for the young Lt. A. Yerima, whose action is currently trending all over the Internet world.
